Terrific Tulips!

Hello again from me, Jen! It's that time of the month again where I get to share some more card making inspiration with you all.
This months card was a real labour of love for me because I decided to try out a technique that I've never attempted before, no line colouring!
I've always admired other makers who use no line colouring in their cards but never been brave enough to try it myself until now!
I began by creating a shaped card base. To do this I scored and folded a whole 8.5 x 11 inch piece of heavy weight card at 5.5 inches. Then I used the largest of the Hand Torn Rectangle Dies – LDRS Creative and cut the card base. In order to preserve the fold you need to hang the left hand edge of the die off the cardstock before running it through your die cut machine.
I cut a card panel from some yellow textured card and adhered it onto the case base.
Next I inked up the Tulips Impress-ion Press + Foil Plate – LDRS Creative in a pale, water reactive ink and pressed the image onto a piece of white water colour paper. I went on to die cut this panel with the second largest die from the Hand Torn Rectangle Dies – LDRS Creative
I water coloured the images and once the panel was dry, stamped a sentiment from the My Wish For You Sentiments 4x6 Stamps – LDRS Creative in black Raven – LDRS Creative ink. Finally, I splattered the panel with green watercolour paint and added a few pale yellow pearls before adhering it to the card base with foam tape. I still need a lot of practice with both no line and water colouring but I'm pretty pleased with how this turned out. I hope you like it too!
I'll catch you all again soon! Bye!
