Yellow whispering Meadow card

Hi all, Kirstynn here,
Today I'm sharing a card I put together using the Whispering Meadow Impress-ions press and foil plate. I really love the beautiful crisp images that these Impress-ion plates give.
To start this card, I used Peachy Keen, Lantern Yellow,  and Dan-D-Lion ink. I put the ink pad directly to paper to give a weathered distressed look. Some of the color will absorb into the cardstock and smooth out slightly. But by going ink pad to paper you really get a "rougher" look than you would if you used a blending brush. When I did this step, I made sure to overlap the colors slightly to make sure that they had a smooth transition in color.
Once I got done with this part, I used the impress-ion and some black ink to make this beautiful impression on the yellow background.
For the sentiment, I used the Simply Sentiments Stamps and dies. I wanted to make sure that the color matched perfectly. So, I used the Peachy Keen ink pad and again went directly from the ink pad to the paper. I made sure that dried completely and then used the "love" die to cut it out. I used some vellum to cut out the shadow and glued them together.
Next, I placed the love where I wanted it and stamped "sending you lots of" above the "love" die cut.
The last step was just to add some sequins and glue this panel onto an A2 card base.
I really love the way the Impress-ion dies create that indent in the paper similar to a letter press. It adds such dimension to the card in a way you can't get with any other technique. Plus, these daisies are just so cute.
I hope everyone enjoyed this card as much as I did!
Happy Crafting!
